Optimization of Interface layout of electrical equipment using Heuristic Algorithm

Abstract Facility Layout Problem(FLP) is a major matter in the process of human-machine interface(HMI) design, which has direct impact on how well operators perform their duties. Electrical equipment, controls power system, safely system operates. The current optimization techniques prioritize improving equipment’s performance characteristics at expense user aspects. This work aims to apply heuristic algorithms that introduce cognitive psychology and adopt layout principle as constraint condition solve this problem. improved analytic hierarchy (AHP) used conduct optimal design practice HMI electrical switching develop mathematical model, quantify subjective objective principles. Comparing results reveals genetic algorithm’s superior ant colony iterative pace faster. HMI’s optimized based algorithm can improve usability interface operation, certain reference for equipment.
